Post by Luc Gauthier »

Recently opened Poças 2017 vp
Cork said "centenary " and "100"

Can totally see the Port Producers say lets throw a few odd corks in so the Port Geeks will go crazy with speculations......

Or

We are bottling 5,500 bottles but are short 50 corks, go grab some of those ones for next year we special ordered--we have extra.
Any Port in a storm!

And of course 2017 VP was bottled in 2019 or 2020. Maybe they just used those for everything bottled 2018 or later until they ran out of those corks.
