Purchased two bottles 5 years ago. First bottle consumed December 2015 was not what we expected and it got 87 pts. At that time, I wrote: “Could be that it will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar, but I am not sure.” So now it is 5 years since the first bottle. This second bottle was better.
Bottled June 2014. Unfiltered. Decanted 5.5 hrs which was OK. Dark purple colour. Fruity aroma with indications of minerals. Full body. Taste was powerful and fruity, distinct tannins, some cherries. Dry towards the end. Good structure and well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Long aftertaste. 90 pts.

I almost always find Infantado Ports to be ... "weird" or "strange" are really the only words that work. They don't seem off to me, just very different in a kind of funky way, so your original rating of 87 seems much closer to what I would expect than your current rating of 90. I'm glad that it improved for you over the years.

The 1992 VP is the exception for me - that one was astonishingly good (96 points), even more so once it was revealed to be an Infantado.

I think that time helps Infantado wines tremendously.

I am generally a fan of their wines.
