2020 bottling bought in Denmark a week ago.
Served chilled from the fridge in the official IVDP glass, though brought up to temp a notch. (Been open 3 days now)
Color: Brownish amber hue and transparent. Clean and clear.
Aroma: Walnuts and figs on the nose and lots of caramel. No alcohol present. Pleasant
Palate: Medium viscosity. Dark slightly burned caramel & roasted nuts. Alcohol is too present as well a bitter after taste which lingers on. This wine lacks the complexity that I expect of a 20YO tawny and is not in balance for my taste. The aromas far outperform the taste.
