Gordon Ramsey

If anyone is interested, Gordon Ramsey has a food show on the Nat Geo channel. He was in Portugal. On this show, he's more polite and self deprecating than his others. It's mainly about food, but he visited Colares and tasted a 2009 white and 2009 Ramisco. The segment on the black pigs showed a bottle of wine I'm convinced is a Cartuxa tinto. Nat Geo will show repeats.

Watched the Portugal episode last night with the bride. Great show, looking forward to other episodes.
My wife was excited to see the 2009 Ramisco, as she picked up two bottles of that vintage when we visited Casal Sta. Maria in Colares a few years ago.

Those are the worst. Way too much effort for so little reward

Agree to some respect. They are good, but not mind blowing. I much prefer lapas (limpets).

I had percebes in a restaurant, which is where that photo came from. I enjoyed them and am glad I tried them, but agree that they are not the most amazing food in the world. And in the Ramsey episode I thought they said they cost 100 euros a pound, which doesn't seem quite right to me. Maybe I misheard. One google hit was in this range, but another was like half that.
