2001 Agri-Roncao DR vintage port

Not so many vintage ports from that year. Bottled 2004. Decanted 3.5 hrs, which should be reduced to 2.5 – 3.0 hrs for next bottle. Plenty small sediments at decanting. Medium red with a touch of light brown. Subdued aroma of ripe berries. Medium body. Nice start with pleasant berries. Some wood and minerals in the background. Quite smooth in style. Appearing as a ripe vintage port in good balance. Medium to long aftertaste. 90 pts.
