Decanted 3.5 hrs which worked well. More sediments than what we normally find in 2003-vintage ports. Deep purple colour. Pleasant aroma of fruit and flowers. Hint of chocolate liqueur. Medium body. Powerful taste at start, some elegance, fruity with distinct tannins. Some acidity which makes it fresh. Medium length aftertaste. During years 2014-2021 we have totally had 10 bottles and the scores have been in range 86 - 92 pts (only one bottle at 86), most of them hovering around 90 pts. In view of the big amount of sediments, we have decided to keep the last two bottles for some years to check whether it can develop further. This bottle was 90 pts.

While not the best VP out there, I've got two of the 2000 vintage (in the 500ml bottles) that I was going to open but figured I will hold them as extra fill in for a 2000 VP vertical one day. Before you drink all yours, you may want to do the same as they are quite hard to find. At least around my area.

Did they still use the 500ml bottle for this vintage?

My bottles are all 750ml, but I suppose it's possible that they made both sizes? I've never seen a 500ml from 2007, though.

Oh good. I hate 500ml bottles.
