Lovely property and people (and wine/port too). Seems a bit out of the way. Well, I guess depends on where one starts the journey.

an impromptu visit was not possible so i went to have lunch with Mario Negreiros at his quinta instead

Quinta das Amendoeiras, it's also a lovely place to stay, he has multiple rooms in the big house and a new separate guest house overlooking the river and vinyards. (on the other side of the river is Vesuvio)

for those who want to know. in the past few weeks i went to quite a few quintas. because of covid it wasn't always possible to do tastings though.

places i visited: Quinta do Perdigao, Quinta do Sobral, Quinta das Marias, Quinta da Fata and Quinta da Falorca. good times
