This quinta is located in Baixo Corgo close to Regua. 180 meters above the river Douro on the south side of the river. Joana Duarte used to be one of two winemakers at Bulas. She has recently moved over to Qd Marrocos.
75 cl. Bottled 2020. Decanted 1 hr which was sufficient. Amber colour. Quite deep and powerful ripe fruit aroma with touch of nuts and apricot. Medium to full body. Taste is “big”, rich, round and powerful. Plenty of tropical fruits. But in spite of all that the taste is subdued. Limited with tannins. Structure is OK. Slightly dry towards the end. Medium length aftertaste. 88 pts.
