Decanted for six hours. Dark amber-purple in color. Wonderful dark fruit and amazing Christmas Spice on the nose. Excellent structure with a touch of warmth on the very long, balanced finish. (94 pts.)

Arguably, this is a vintage that should have been a “general declaration” but wasn’t as there was already three declarations, 80/83/85. Glad we’ve now past those days.
