Cockburn Vintage 1997

Post by LOUISSS J »

Cockburn Vintage 1997 : According to what I had read as a review there were some variations in the bottles so i was little scared. Finally I was not disappointed. Without being a big bottle, it was very good. Mainly on caramel and hazelnuts. A small side old light wood not very pleasant but nothing to spoil everything. Nice creamy texture with fairly melted tannins and acidity. Still in good shape but I wouldn't see why to age it further.
At the opening the alcohol was aggressive and poorly balanced. After 2 hours everything was settled (the bottle was drunk in 4 hours).

I also have a 1994 Cockburn and I think it will be open soon.
