2019 Quevedo Vintage Port
Day 13 of the 2022 Quevedo Prestige Advent Calendar
Tasted pop-and-pour, then left to sit in glass for 90 minutes and re-tasted.
Color: inky dark magenta, opaque except for about 3/8" at the rim.
Nose: boysenberry, blackberry, a faint green note, and maybe the tiniest bit of funkiness. Also a very faint tanginess that gives it some roundness. It smells very purple.
Palate: nicely rich, with purple fruits and a faint light coffee note and some faint blueberries, good tannins and acidity. Med light body - a bit watery mid-palate. Neutral sweetness (read: in-between off dry and medium sweet).
Score: 91 points. I toyed with another point, and would definitely score higher if the mid palate were filled in better.
