What are the BEST Madeiras you've tasted in 2022?

Post by Roy Hersh »

Up to you, select just one or choose some from all categories (Colheita/Frasqueira/Blend with an indication of age etc.) or even by GRAPE, whatever you'd like, but outside of New Year's Eve ... the timing is right to review what you consumed in 2022 and share with the rest of us. Thanks and wishing you all a Happy and Healthy 2023!

Of the top of my head,
Barbeito 50 year old Verdelho
1934 ABSL Malvasia. I really like their style.

So you prefer the 50 Verdelho by Ricardo to the 50 Terrantez by Justino's? [friends.gif]

No, prefer the Justinos. Did I have the 50 Terrantez this year, or was it last year? All the wines run together in my head! [kez_11.gif]

The only Madeira I had of note this year was an 1871 Cossart Gordon Boal Solera. 96 points for me... very impressive, especially for a Boal.
