2011 Dow's LBV Port

A filtered LBV. Decanted and let it sit in the fridge for about 6 hours before I tried it. It was a deep purple with little to the nose other than a medicinal smell. The first night it was smooth and fairly balance with light tannins and not a lot of fruit. The second night it seemed more disjointed and was actually a bit rougher. Tonight, the third night it was more integrated but still had that medicinal nose. The legs were thick but it had a light to medium mouth feel. I thought I had a slight taste of tobacco on the palate. The tannins were more pronounced and the fruit was more in the background. It's an okay Port, to have a glass of in a pinch, but not one that I would seek out. I have a few more bottles of this year, but I'll let them age a little bit more even if they are filtered. 88 points.
