Every year on New Years morning a large group does about 90 miles. The ride heads down the coast from Long Beach, then heads inland at Dana Point, winds around south Orange County, then heads back to coast in Irvine/Newport Beach area, and back up to Long Beach. This year was frigg'n fast from the start, holy smokes fast  Here is the stats...

about 90 miles
took us about 3 hours 50 minutes to do (yes we were flying fast this year)
I burned 3,100 calories on the ride
and I am now really tired and really really hungry.

I need a beer :help:

I thought I was doing well just to get out of bed this morning, and manage to rally enough energy to take the kids bowling this afternoon!!! Now I'm feeling like I should at least take a spin on the trainer.....

Nice start to '08, Andy!! :)

Although fat and middle aged, I could do it. It takes me close to 7+ hours though, 8 hours for the few centuries I did last summer.
Congrats on your great start to the new year!
