Wonderful and powerful, this tastes like a wine 10 years younger. There is lots of fruit, and a little warmth that is not unpleasant. Maybe not as complex as some of the very best 1985s, but this bottle was no slouch.
I didn't score this at the time, so I'm going to give a range, 92-94 points.
