1970 Ferreira VP

Smells of tangy red licorice, and smoky too. Then more, more smoke—a little campfire, a little pine. Next up was some glycerin and sweet candy, but the smoke was still there, just a little subdued. The flavor is more complex than the 1970 Dalva tasted immediately prior. There is still some fruit left in this, including a little orange, but overall this is a tired wine. 91 points.
