(Bottled 2007.) Light-medium cloudy, and the brownest of the first four wines tasted (1964 Niepoort Garrafeira, 1966 Rocha, Krohn, and Kopke Colheitas). Like the Rocha tasted immediately prior, this also smells of brown sugar, but with a little more burnt brûlée character; along with some key lime pie and creaminess. Wonderful intensity of aromas. Lots, lots of acid and plenty of sugar when tasted. Tangy too, making for a really nice wine. Tastes also of brown sugar, and Belgian candi sugar, on the order of D-60. Slightly thin bodied, but great aromas and flavors. 95 points.
