NV Ramos Pinto 30 years old tawny port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2019. 20,5%. Alc. Decanted 2 hrs, which was OK. Dark brown with a slight hint of red. Still transparent. Aroma of citrus, wood, touch of tobacco. Full body. Taste is powerful, elegant and with burnt sugar. Round style, very pleasant. Well-structured and also well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Well worth 93 pts.

A bit of a sleeper as a 30 Year Old. Most people think of others first when asked to name the best 30s, but Ramos Pinto deserves to be in the conversation.
