• NV Butler Nephew and Co Porto Crusted - Portugal, Douro, Porto (9/26/2022)
  Very dark ruby in color. The grapes were harvested in 2014, the wine was bottled in 2015 and was released in 2018. This was a great conversation about crusted ports. I thought the crusted port had to be 3 consecutive vintages blended together but learned that a producer can declare 1-2 or three consecutive years if they want. This wine has crushed purple fruit on the palate. The complexity here falls into the Reserve Ruby range. This is a really pleasant wine. (92 pts.)
