This is an unfiltered cask sample, bottled this morning. The aromatics on this wine are turned up to 11 - waves of rich and complex aromas of root beer, molasses, dark chocolate, dried figs, and salted caramel. The stunning entry is amazingly smooth and balanced, and the palate has rich molasses, butterscotch, and espresso bean. With beautiful body weight and a long, sublime finish, the richness and intensity runs from stem to stern of this wine. There is not much more I could ask for in a Colheita Port from this era. (100 pts.)
