  • NV S. Leonardo Porto Very Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto (9/28/2022)
    Cask sample. Previously labeled a 50 Year Old Tawny Port in 2000 when they cataloged the casks of wines in their cellars. It is an incredibly dark amber-brown in color. With burnt sugar, molasses, and candied oranges on the nose, the rich, well-balanced flavor profile features vanilla, caramel swirls, bright acidity, and an incredibly complex, long finish. (96 pts.)
