NV Quinta da Furada Porto Family Old Tawny Port

  • NV Quinta da Furada Porto Family Old Tawny Port - Portugal, Douro, Porto (9/29/2022)
The age of this Tawny Port isn't known, but it has aged for several decades in the old warehouses of the Quinta. In 1972, the Great Grandfather zeroed out this wine with the IVP, so they could only bottle it after getting special permission to bottle and label it as an Old Family Tawny Port. With an amber-orange hue, it greets you with aromas of caramel, aged cedar wood, and hints of dusty red fruit. It exhibits a drier style with noticeable mid-palate tannins, and the palate shows pleasant notes of caramel, vanilla, and a touch of orange spices. It has an exceptional finish, which, along with the overall complexity makes this a very good wine. (93 pts.)
