2023 Regatta boat race

Post by Andy Velebil »

Grahams has won. Followed by Cockburn’s second. Both over a big margin from third. Looked like Sandeman brought up the rear by a very very big distance.

The Confraria posted on Facebook that the Cockburn boat won. Was Graham second?

Apparently yes. Confused myself as to what happened.

Grahams has a big boat, fast in the wind. Cockburns is smaller but more nimble. There was good wind yesterday. At the end, there's a bend in the river and Cockburn used their nimbleness to cut across the bend and win. Sandeman had sail issues. Their spar seemed to break at the beginning and they has to lower their sail to repair it. Info from George Sandeman from the party barge.
