I came across this bottle yesterday. From what I could read on the label it was bottled by H&H in 1994 to commemorate the opening of their new winery Ribeira de Escrivão at Quinta Grande in Belim.
Does anyone know anything about this wine?
Many thanks.

I believe H & H bottled their remaining supply of this wine in two batches - in 2006 and 2008 as "Inauguration wine". I have never tasted (or, even seen) the original one, but the later bottlings are very good. As far as I recall, it is supposedly a mid XX century wine of unknown vintage & varietal with lots of acidity and Verdelho/Bual sweetness; possibly, Tinta Negra.

Loved the H&H "Inauguration wine"... I know some had a bad experience, but the bottles I received from RWC were solid. Shame I consumed them all
