(August 2024 release, 83 g/l RS.) great clarity, copper colored at 17 SRM. Smells of sweet maple candy along with some pleasant wood attic character. Later I thought it smelled like a nutty nougat candy bar filling. There is lots of acid in the flavor, with plenty of sweetness, a nice orange character, and perhaps even some cherry. There is an alcohol warmth present, but at a low and pleasant level. Really nice, this wine has a great acidity and an improving body. It isn’t my favorite wine, but is really fun. 93 points.
