(157.8 g/l RS, 11.17 g/l TA, pH: 3.22) Reportedly this is actually 70 years old. The aroma present warm alcohol and brown sugar; later there was caramel. There is very nice sweetness in the flavor, more complex than the 20 Year Old. There is smoky wood barrel, buttery sugar, and lots of acidity with lemon, lime, and a hint of orange. The empty glass smells nutty like pecan candy. 94 points.

I don't see this anywhere online, was this a cask sample while on the island?

I tasted it on the island, but to my recollection it was not a cask sample. It is listed here: https://www.hmborges.com/en/vinho/27-ma ... anos-doce/

Thanks! Weird that it doesn't show up on winesearcher.com.Eric Menchen wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 2:03 pmI tasted it on the island, but to my recollection it was not a cask sample. It is listed here: https://www.hmborges.com/en/vinho/27-ma ... anos-doce/
