1994 Quinta do Noval Nacional VP

Tasted blind in a horizontal of 1994 VPs. Deep, dark magenta color. Powerful dark fruit aromas, with leather, grape skins, and blackberry. Big powerful flavors too, with lots of primary dark fruit. The tannins are strong and the finish long. 92 points. The description suggests it should earn more than that, but I scored an earlier wine 96 points, and a later one 96+, so I wasn’t being overly stingy this day.
