1977 Fonseca VP
Despite being younger than the previously tasted 1963 and 1970, this wine has a much lighter more ethereal aroma with some floral notes and alcohol warmth. It developed to show some dried fig, tobacco, leather, and dried leaf. Medium bodied, this is plenty thick and juicy. Later more aromas showed up, like an eau de parfum with rose. Really nice wine. 93 points.
