1985 Fonseca VP

Dark color, still intensely red with just some tiny fading at the rim. Smells young, with esteva, grape skin, and hint of musty cellar. The flavors are big and powerful, as to be expected, but this was not the best showing of this wine. However, it did improve with time to settle in at 94-95 points.
