- Bottled in 1998 .
- Tasted in Feb. 2008
- Lovely Maple aromas at 1st.
- Smooth mouthfeel
- But the possible excellent finish was hidden by a bit too much heat .

Luc,
Hopefully the alcohol blows off after a day or so of being opened.
We don't see many of the Noval Colheita offerings out in AB... I have yet to find one in any of our retailers here. Enjoy!

A solid bottle and one I've had many times. My only complaint with it is exactly what Luc mentioned...a little too much heat.

Andy, from your experience, does the heat blow off after an extended decanting time (as it does in other Ports?) Or does it seem to remain?

I've always thought the heat was just a touch too noticeable as well. The last bottle I opened about three weeks ago was at its best the first day right after opening. For this bottle , the second day had the alcohol even more pronounced. Now that didn't stop me of course, so there was no third day comparison

In my experience the heat on Colheita's generally don't blow off like they will do with a VP.

Exact same experience for me. Enjoyable, but too much heat.
