This was from dinner back in November to celebrate the end of harvest....we had a bunch of other still red wine/white wine. I thought I posted these here but was remiss. I know someone from the eBob board asked about the Millenial bottling(?) but unfortunately I am not sure. It was a real treat to try these amazing madeiras...

1900 Henriques & Henriques Madeira
Holy smokes was this rich ripe fruit that showed dark with mocha, chocolate, maple syrup, spices...almost tasted like it could have been bottled yesterday...WOW oh wow...and if that wasn't enough we were up to a treat with the next one...

1864 Henriques & Henriques Madeira
Showed a bit older than the youngster above with less chocolate...but wow was this good too...maple syrup, marzipan, almonds, spice and herbs...this was tremendous and drinking perfectly....

Thanks for the notes. Do you remember what varietals these were? Also, you may want to get a moderator to move this post to the Madeira forum.

Yeah..I forgot there were two separate forums until I posted...I figured it would be moved so I kept my big trap shut!

After several attempts to meet the other half of the Velebil siblings whilst in CA the last few years ... alas, it has not happened yet. But although I have yet to meet Tony, it is great to see him back visiting here and posting again!

Unlike my lazy ass brother who I have to beg to even look at the homepage.
