Anyone staying over in Madeira (May trip)

When the upcoming tour is over, I'm planning on staying until the 13th, going to the north or, in any case, out of Funchal and into the countryside. So far I've found a place over in Calheta (Quinta das Vinhas at http://www.madeira-island.com/hotels/qu ... dasvinhas/) It has 6 ensuite guest rooms and a pool.
On the other end of the spectrum is a basic place but with huge room size private terraces directly onto the pools at Porto Moniz. If anyone else is staying on, it would be great to go levada walking or other rural activities. I've been twice before and know my way around very well, so I am happy to take on the driving duties and am willing even to take on the old north coast road
