Multi: 1951 Offley Colheita Port & 1977 Barros Colheita Port

1951 Offley Colheita Port

Smells like a mix of raisins, iced tea and chlorine. Interesting to try it, but not much character here---it's "gently disjointed" if that makes sense in the context of a port.

Since I've never tried an old port, I was happy to taste this.

1977 Barros Colheita Port

More classical sniffs and tastes, with figs and dates and especially a walnut aftertaste. Not compelling for me, but I liked it.

Hi Mike, Nice to see you here. I've had the 1977 Barros Colheita before and thought it was pretty good too.

Hi Mike,

I had that bottling at Barros not too long ago and enjoyed it too.

How is the Hack-ster? He hasn't emailed me for decanting advice lately. I wonder what's up with that?

Good to hear you enjoyed hanging out with Jay!

Come and visit more often my friend ... :ftlop: or in person. It's been awhile since you've seen my family!
