Salvador Poveda Fondillon - Alicante Gran Reserva DO

I saw a bottle of above wine in a local winestore. Its also a fortified wine, but then from Spain. Anyone had experience with this ?

This is a old, dry, oxidized wine from Alicante (south east of Spain). Is a rare wine even in Spain. It's been made for centuries in this region. But now very few wine maker does it. Salvador Poveda is one of the best wine makers of Fondillon and the best of all is one that is wrote "El Abuelo" in the lable. I like a lot to enjoy a cup of this wine, in the middle of the afternoon :) .
