Not sure if there are going to be many here who know or appreciate FZ

:wall:
Growing up, my brother and I were fans as were many of our friends. It had something to do with growing up in the '60's and '70's I guess.
Anyway, I know that if anybody opens this thread KNOWING what or who FZ is ... they just might be interested in this:

I really never listened to Frank. Don't eat yellow snow was a cool thing for us to say back then, though.

Peaches in Regalia!
I do like his instumentals the best. You do know he was classically trained.

I still listen to Joe's Garage every now and then. Great record, hilarious lyrics, excellent music of a twisted genius.

Hey men,
you are talking about my religion! I do not only have one mother but the real Mothers. Listen to "Roxy & Elswhere". If your eyes won't fill with tears, you will not have a heart

Not only do I know that Frank was classically trained, but he has written pieces of music for entire orchestas, and I am talking about for strings, wind instruments, percussion and so on. He was a musical genius, no doubt about that. He also happened to be one of the quirkiest yet best guitarists ever.
I have listened to Roxy and Elswhere probably 100x and love it. I've owned well over 25 FZ albums not to mention live recordings of his concerts that were made available. I was most fortunate to have seen him a half dozen times live, beginning in 1976 at Halloween in NY.
I have many fine FZ stories!

Roy,
You'll have to share some of those stories in Jan.

I wonder if it will take future generations to fully appreciate the genius of Frank, especially his composing work (early on) and more so, later in life?
