A great theme for April

I realize it is a bit early for this but ...
I had a fun idea that in this economy, would ensure that nobody had to go out and purchase a bottle for the Virtual Tasting.
How about:
BIN ENDS ... something you only have one bottle left in your collection. It can be a cheap bottle or an expensive one, but a bottle for some reason, you always pass over, knowing it is the last.
Whaddaya think?

Sounds fun to read about those stories and tasting notes! Would be about time to dust off those lonely Nacional bottles

I have lots of single "last bottles" - I can rarely bring myself to open one unless it is required for a specific event or tasting.
I think this is a great theme as it should throw up a very wide range of ports.

Well if it ever arrives :wall: the 1997 Romariz VP that I have on order can do double duty! It's a 1997 (Feb), and it will be my one and only bottle (Apr)!
It was going to do double duty in March, but that was back when we were thinking March would be a "low cost VP" tasting. Now if they'd just hurry up and ship it... *sigh*

Glenn, waiting for it.
I also have many single bottles. I'll open one that we don´t have yet the tasting note in FLOP.

The 1963 Romariz Colheita that I won at the same auction has now shipped, but still no word on the 1997 VP. Very curious... I would think that Benchmark Wine wouldn't auction something until they actually had possession of it, but I guess that's not the case.

Glenn like many others they are doing some odd things, "pre-selling" wines that they are going to receive on a "consignement agreement" basis. It's a great way to do business and too bad Detroit can't make that work eh?
"Sir, thanks for purchasing your GM car, we'll have it built in 24 hours and you can pick it up here, on Monday next week. Thank you for your business."
