TN: Borges 15 Year Old Malmsey Madeira

This was a huge bargin in Madeira a couple of years ago.
Dark mahogany, bronze color with greenish rim.
Intense aromas of smoke, caramel, dried fruits. Perhaps a hint of VA.
Medium full bodied. Citrus and toffee flavors. High acidity, which I love.
Nice long finish.
Not as sweet or rich as the Broadbent 10 year old by Justinio, but very elegant; and I love that acidity!
Is this being imported into the States yet. I'd love to get a case.

Eric,

Sadly, for whatever reason ... the importer and HM Borges have not been aligned yet. I have asked both sides at least a half dozen times and this seems like it should be a no-brainer. Not sure exactly why it has not come to pass.

I may push some buttons on the importer's side and tell them that if they are not going to get it done, I'll hook up someone else. We'll see how that works. :snooty:

Two.

How much did we pay back then?

If I remember correctly, it was something like 15 euro.
