I just have been there a for a week. And surprisingly Port wine is easier to find and cheaper than here in Spain.
To buy alcohol you have to go to the monopoly state shop. You can check on his web the prices and where they do have the wine (in stock). But if you go to the shops, you may find older vintages that they've few bottles left, then they don't have them in his web.
In the restaurants wasn't easy to find it. They did only have a few tawny without age, and 10yr. And in not many places.
At the end, I returned home with some nice bottles (Vargellas, Vesuvio, Graham's, Silva...).

Re: Port in Stockholm
Hi,
I agree with you... I've been to stockholm for business many times and I always find something worth bringing back.
My most recent was a Graham 40 at much cheaper than I could get here.
But my proudest purchase was a lovely set of 5 Noval colheitas 64,71,74,76,84 in 200 ml bottles in a wooden box, very rare but great idea...
I've kept the empties of course.

I'll try to post a picture of that box set... wish more Colheita came this way... it is really easy to do verticals which I could not otherwise do with full bottles without all participants chipping in...
Plus if you like a given year then you can go after the full bottle... like the Noval 1974 Colheita !... because some years can be so average...it is always risky to buy an old colheita in my view..
cheers
