On Dec. 19th, a FTLOP member named Michelle, offered up a rare and valuable bottle of 1963 Quinta do Noval Nacional for $1800 which was a very fair price.
Today, I received word that the bottle was sold to a very savvy Port enthusiast in another country who saw the offering on this website. Congratulations to both buyer and seller!
I hope that success stories like this will spur more intra-FTLOP member trading and sales of bottles to one another.
SOLD !!!

I would love to see more intra-member trading or buying/selling, however (oddly enough) I think it's easier and more legal to ship between people in different countries than it is to ship wine from individuals from state-to-state unless you are a distributor licensed to ship to particular states.
Not sure why it has to be so convoluted. If you travel a lot and can travel to where the other person is so you can consummate the transaction, then great, but for many of us, shipping is the only way.
Mike.
