Dow's Boardroom Tawny. What Other Tawnies?

Dow's Boardroom tawny has become my favorite daily drinking tawny. Anyone notice that Dow's website doesn't list the Boardroom tawny and Warre's doesn't list their Nimrod (15 year) tawny? Are there other premium named tawnies from them or others (Taylor, Graham, Fonseca) that aren't listed?

Which makers have the best tawnies in others' opinions? I've heard that Krohn and Kopke are known for them but have not had the former

Obviously, the Fonseca Bin 27, Graham 6 Grapes, Taylor First Estate, Dow's Trademark, etc. are well known "brand" rubies.

I always thought the Nimrod was just the Warre's fine tawny. Since a tasting of a wide range of ports in November, I've really only tried 20-year tawnies.

It's hard to say which one is the best, since each person's tastes are different. I prefer the 20-year over any other tawnies thus far, and for me, the best so far is Cockburn's.

IIRC, the Warre's has three levels of tawny: King's Tawny (5 yr), Sir William (10 yr), and Nimrod (20 yr). I don't know for sure, but Warre may be replacing the Sir William and Nimrod with their new "Otima" line. The Nimrod has always been my favorite over the years.

I did some poking around and there are actually four tawnies Warres puts out. The King's (5y), Sir William (10), Nimrod (15), and they do have a separate 20-year tawny with no apparent brand name.

I never realized the Nimrod was a 15-year. I've seen it around these parts, but never the 20-year. I may have to give it a try.

My liquor store rep said that Dow's is stopping production and sale of the Boardroom Tawny, leaving the basic "Fine Tawny" and the Aged Tawnies of 10, 20, and 30 years.
