8th August 2005.

We are pleased to be able to offer the following 1955 Vintage ports recently removed from University college.

2 cases Graham 1955 @ £2750:00 case 12 bottles

One of my all time favourite ports.A big wine that has evolved perfectly.Glorious bouquet,a fabulous fragrance eruptinging out of its depths.Sweet refined, silky, yet still tannic, fleshy yet firm.Still very sweet, delicious flavour, glorious length.Perfection. 5 ***** Michael Broadbent.

1 case Fonseca 1955 @ £2900:00 case 12 bottles

Lively looking and rich:perfect, complete, harmonious bouquet with a touch of tobacco and Spanish root;sweet, powerful almost Taylor like backbone, but shapely and fleshy.Harmonious, classic at The worlds Greatest Vintage Ports tasting in Florida in 1998.Most recently, mellow and mature looking, liquorice bouquet;still very sweet, crisp, lovely texture, length and finish.5 ***** Michael Broadbent-- Will continue.

2 cases Taylor 1955 @ £2450:00 case 12 bottles

Still fairly deep coloured;a vast,deep,high-toned,spicy nose,fairly sweet,full bodied,packed with fruit,extract tannin and acidity.4 **** Michael Broadbent.

The above ports are offered subject to remaining unsold and to final confirmation.E&OE
