Hi everybody!
I would dearly appreciate help in identifyinng some old Lomelino bottlings of madeira. The labels are deteriorated, just remnants left, but perhaps any of you has come across these (or similar) wines and can compare the labels with what's left on mine, thus identifying them. I have closely studied them, but very little info has come out:
VERY (RARE) and OLD MALMSEY (dechipered by cross-reading two labels). Might be two different bottlings with similar label design (not uncommon). They most probably are Tarquinio T Da Camara Lomelino bottlings.
Lomelinos madeiras often bear labes stating Rare Old Malmsey, Old Malmsey Solera and similar, with varying vintag dates. Could be hard identify my labels then. But please, if you could help, would be most grateful.

I've looked into the Madeira Wine Guide Vintage List, ut no exact definition there.

Red foil capsules, bottled mid 1900-s. No remnants of paint/stencils on bottle.

The pictured btls are two of four of the same appearance.

I have not (yet) tasted any of them. BUT SHALL!

Best to you all you fellow madeira entusiasts

Pretty sure it is a Lomelino bottling, they used red letters on some of their labels. Could be an old blend, but the label is really in to bad a shape to tell. I will use the weekend to look through my picture archive and try to find something similar.
Looking forward to that tasting note :D

dear Lars,
Indeed I found something similar to your labels, at least this is a close one. The same red letters, the same "Rare Old Malmsey"...
