That’s a good price for a daily drinker.
I went to pick up the three bottles I had on hold and found the store very busy with customers taking advantage of a Black Friday's 30% off sale. Signs in the store said "30% OFF ALL WINES" and sure enough my three bottles rang in at C$14.78 (US equivalent $10.20). Happy I got the discount, sad I hadn't asked them to hold a few more bottles for me.

Picked up some 2012 Quinta do Infantado Douro for $7.50 a bottle. Says it was bottled on July 2015.

Not all Douro, but at least one in there. These are what I brought back from Portugal.
1968 Antonio Bernardino Paulo da Silva Colares Chitas Reserva Velho
1995 Antonio Bernardino Paulo da Silva Colares Chitas Reserva Velho
2001 Antonio Bernardino Paulo da Silva Colares Chitas Reserva Velho
2010 Caves São João Bairrada Frei João
2015 Antonio Bernardino Paulo da Silva Vinho Regional Lisboa Casal da Azenha
2016 Quinta do Vale Meão Douro Meandro

Sr. Antonio gave us the Casal da Azenha along with a 2014 Colaras branco that I gave to my parents to take home.

Been in Denmark and purchased 3 bottles of each of these very interesting brands:
2009 Casa Ferreirinha Reserva Especial
2015 Quinta do Crasto Maria Teresa
2015 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte

Will try the 2009 fairly soon, while I guess the two others will wait for some time!

Love the 09 CF Reserva. Give it a long decant.

Andy, what would you suggest as decanting time for the 2009 CF Reserva Especial?

I would decant at least 8 hours.

OK thanks, will follow that advice.
That is close to what we normally do with Crasto's Maria Teresa and Vinha da Ponte.

Just shy a case of 1990 Jose Maria da Fonseca Arrabida TE Garrafeira. I've had the same vintage of the "Palmela", which was mature but still pleasant from what I recall, but never had the Arrabida. Considering the crazy cheap price of $2.50 per bottle it was worth the risk just to try one or two bottles if it ends up not being good.

There will be a MAJOR bargain on some Douro wines offered for FTLOP Newsletter subscribers either Sunday night or in your mailbox Mon. morning. There will also be a lot of Ports and a good number of Madeiras too.

I've really liked the 2015's I've had so I got:
2015 Quinta de Chocalpalha CH, 2015 Quinta do Crasto Old Vines Reserva, and 2015 Quinta Vale do Meão.
Since I was at it, I also got some whites:
2016 Wine & Soul Guru, 2016 Filipa Pato Nossa Calcario Bical, and 2017 Soalheiro Alvarinho.
Also got Madeira Vintners Fenix Seco. Is this their first release in the States?

I had this when it first got to the US. Absolutely massive. Needs 3-5 years before even considering to be opened.
