While I've seen small bottles at the Quinta I can recall seeing them for sale. Nice wine!

This isn't Douro but I didn't see a good thread to post this in:

12 x M.O.B. Dão Branco

This is a collaboration of three well known Douro winemakers:

Jorge Moreira
Xito Olazabal
Jorge Serôdio Borges

Thus MOB. I was served this wine at D.O.P. Restaurante (Rui Paula) in Porto and fell in love with it.

Andy, here's the website for Chasing Harvest: http://chasingharvest.com/the-story.html

I don't know how much availability there is outside of Chicago. I have tried both the branco and tinto. The branco was awesome. They age it on the lees, even. The tinto, I did a pop and pour last time, which was a mistake. I need a rematch for sure.

I am on a different path here, and not even close to my comfortzone...But, as we danes say; "only dead heerings flows with the current".
So up the stream I goes.. [imnewhere.gif]

Portuguese redwines!
Please correct my if I'am wrong. I have the feeling that the portuguese Wine, have more stamina, than grapes from france or Italy. The wines seems to hold on longer? I have had som lovely redwines from Portugal. But through my Portuguese Vinho do Porto dealer, I got me 2 old vinho Tintos:
1) Barrocão tinto velho 1964 and
2) one bottle of Conde d'Agueda from the Quinta D'aguieira. Maby a garrafeira 1977.

Could they still be drinkable? And does any body knows about the bottles?

Great week to You All
Allan

They could be drinkable, but I've never had or heard of either. Do let us know how they are when you open them

Thanks for the note, I've split this off for you into it's own TN so it will be easier to find later.

Found a couple bottles of 2011 Portal Colheita Douro at my local Costco the other day. Never had it before and at $13 worth grabbing a couple to try. Will report back when I open them.

Daniel, if you are interested in Turris: it's also sold by Lordwine in Portugal for €98.05, taxes included (Winesearcher says otherwise, but that is not correct). They ship to other countries.
