What is Warre's Grande Reserve?

I'm under the impression it isn't to the quality level of a VP, but more than just a reserve, in particular since it has a vintage year. Can anyone offer more insights? I ask because I saw this bottle come up:
1968 Warre Grand Reserve Port
Since that's my birth year I put in a bid. If someone can tell me more, I might raise it.

It's a Colheita. And from the look that was probably bottled some time ago.

I had this about 10 years ago. I think that it was bottled in 1994. As I remember, it was rather sweet. I have never seen it since, but would buy it again.

I was outbid, and given the suspected long time since bottling, I'm not going to raise my bid. I'd pay more for a VP, and I might even bid on one of these again, but not at the moment. I'll look for your TN in April Derek. Thanks for all the info everybody.

A while back I purchased three 1937 Warre's Grand Reserves. As Andy said, they are Colheitas, and in my case they were bottled in 1997. An auction site that I occasionally watch started out with a full case, and over the course of a year kept trying to auction them off without success. I twice offered them a lower amount for the bottles but they never accepted. The third time they said they were converting them over to retail but would give them to me at that retail price so I went ahead and bought some.

I opened one for the FTLOP 4th Anniversary party, and it was amazing! I gave it 97 points at that time. Now I really wish I'd gone ahead and paid more sooner so that I could have purchased more bottles, but oh well.
