The Symington's Madeira Relief Effort

This came to me from Dominic Symington who heads up their family's Madeira presence with MADEIRA WINE COMPANY.
We have created a Madeira Wine Company page on Facebook with details of two charities that we have selected who specifically work with local families. We have already made a direct donation to both of them and have also set up a further local donation stream of matching any voluntary donation at the time of purchase of any wines at the OBWL, the Wine Shop and the Airport Shop. We have been amazed by the extraordinary generosity of people and it is very gratifying that we are able to increase the ongoing stream of this much needed support by matching these very generous donations.
One of the main problems that will face these people is that once the initial clean-up is over they will effectively be forgotten, but they themselves will have to rebuild their lives … no easy task and therefore any help that we can give will I am sure be extremely welcome.
The two charities, the Madeira branch of the Red Cross and Caritas, a church based charity both work very much at the grass roots with the people and therefore we felt were possibly the best route to direct help.
Here is the link if you can please help: http://www.facebook.com/#!/notes/madeir ... 3682667898
Thank you for your support!![NotWorthy [notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/notworthy.gif)
