This TN was taken 18 hours after decanting. A dark ruby purple color followed by youthful plums and violets. Initially the fruit was sweet plums that gave way to prominent acidity, followed by a wall of mouth puckering tannins. A faint but noticeable cigar aroma makes an appearance and precludes a big dose of chocolate. A touch of youthful spirit early on gives way with decanting leaving a very solid LBV. While I enjoyed this now, I think it will be even better in 8-10 years time.

Thanks for the note. I bought several of these and was expecting to drink them sooner rather than later. Sounds like I shouldn't be in such a rush.

Eric,

This is fun to drink young, especially on day 2 when it fully opens up for business. But I did have to stop myself from drinking it all in one afternoon the first day  So I'd recommend enjoying some young and putting some away for later drinking as well. This was a great buy from Wines Till Sold Out at $15/bottle, I wish I had bought more just for a good daily drinker.
