Thanks for the update on this rarely seen older Reserva. Bummer about it not being up to snuff of others. Have you ever had the 2002? I've got a 2002 at home I've been wanting to open it for some time and just been waiting for the right moment. Maybe I should crack it sooner rather than later.

I haven't had a lot of Douro dry reds. My pinnacle experiences by far have been the Niepoort range, especially partial to Batuta in a few vintages. By comparison this was pretty meh.

As good as some of the Reserva's are, I could see how it would not live up to a top notch Batuta
