For The Love Of Port

I have found in the winecellar of my father in law a bottle of Chairman Madeira. As I am working as a chairman of a committee in an international organisation, I thought it might be a good idea to give a bottle of that Madeira as a present to the members of "my" committee. Unfortunately, I haven't found a purchaser offering the madeira. Today I found on "www.madeirawineguide.com/10madeira.../3 ... ippers_co/" the notice that this madeira is a "medium dry blend, brand of Chairmans, London, for the European market" The German import company has terminated to operate.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a company called "Chairmans" in London.
Is there anybody out in the world who can help to find a company who is offering a madeira called Chairman??

unfortunately the company of "Chairman's" as well as the importers for Germany have ceased to exist. Like many other companies "Chairman's" imported bulk Madeira and bottled it under the company's own label. I have had this medium dry wine twice and I am sorry to say that it was just a low-budget blend.
Indeed http://www.wein-oertel.com/ is the only place in Germany to get this wine, must be some old stock. By the way the volume of 0,375 l indicates the intended use: cooking!
0,7 l bottles had also been sold, you might try your luck on ebay. One more type of wine had also been sold: (weird enough, since this sounds very much like a port...) rich ruby madeira...

The credits go to David, he found it first. This shop also has another weird wine "Madeira Preces" which also is an old blend. They must have gotten their wines some time ago.
Indeed I wish I could have been there with you. May be one fine day I will do just that: Get a flight from Frankfurt or Düsseldorf, meet your Fortification Tour on Madeira island and drink lots of Madeira wine with you.
