I could not call this a complete tasting note as I surrendered one of my 2 bottles of this to my wife to celebrate a close female friend's 40th , 24 hours before I got to taste it.
This was a women only event held Friday 3-31-06.
The beloved brought home a full glass put back in the bottle from the decanter with the dregs. Last night we poured it through a filter into a small spirit decanter.
It was magnificent, cinnamon baked apples, strawberry jam on the nose. Bright ruby color. Great silky smooth palate coating mouth entry. More lush fruit. Lingering finish. Don't know how it could have been any better 24 hours previous. 96 points. Many decades left in this.

1966 Dow Vintage Port
Richard Henderson
It is certainly one of the greatest of the '66s today.
I was fortunate to taste this once and drink it four other times in 2005. Pretty consistent across the board. Great definition and youthful compared to some other big names in this vintage.

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
